Christmas Parade

This year marks the 24th year in a row AccessVision volunteers will have braved the cold weather to bring all the sights and sounds of the Annual Battle Creek Christmas Parade to the warmth of the viewer’s living room.

Since construction on Michigan Avenue is complete, AccessVision will be able to air the parade “live” this year, from in front of our building at 70 West Michigan Avenue on Comcast Cable Channels 17 & 917.  Also, for the first time, customers of AT&T U-verse will be able to watch the parade on their channel 99. All an AT&T customer must do is select “channel 99”, click on “Battle Creek Area – AccessVision”, then select either “AccessVision 16” or “AccessVision 17” and select “OK”. AccessVision can be seen on any AT&T U-verse system from Marshall west to the lakeshore and Coldwater north to the bridge.

The Christmas Parade will also be “streamed live” over the internet at www.accessvision.tv/accessvision-live.

The parade is planned and executed every year by the volunteers of the Harper Creek Optimist Club.  Long time volunteer Teresa Durham will host the parade, along side Harper Creek Optimist’s own, Jim Demarest.  The volunteer production crew will consist of director Jeff Smith and camera operation by Tom Morris, Chris Scherer, Mike Campbell, Ed Roca and James Williamson.
