How do I produce a show?

The first step in producing a show on AccessVision is to be trained to use our equipment. Sign up for our workshops to learn how to shoot, edit, direct, create graphics and everything in between. Check out our Workshop Schedule for details.

Once you have been trained on the equipment, you need to bring your idea for a program to the Executive Director. All producers are required to meet with the Executive Director prior to producing any regular scheduled program. At this meeting, your program idea is discussed and producers are asked to fill out a Producer Commitment form.

Now its time to assemble all the pieces. Who will the crew be? When are the guests available? Sign up for studio time. Will any props be needed? Is a pre-production meeting with guests and crew needed? Finish graphics before the production. Create press releases and promos to promote your show.
